It’s official! UFC Champion Conor McGregor (21-3 MMA, 0-0 Boxing) is scheduled to fight legendary boxer and former pound for pound welterweight champ Floyd Mayweather (49-0 Boxing 1-0 Pro-Wrestling) come August 26th at Las Vegas’s T-Mobile Arena.

Both fighters have signed confidentiality agreements in terms of the pay-day but it’s safe to say that Money Mayweather will see 100 million+ with The Notorious One looking to secure a potential 8 figure purse, the biggest ever for a UFC fighter.
The card is being produced by Showtime and looks to have an all boxing undercard, but MMA fans shouldn’t worry about a stale presentation as Show-Sport’s Strikeforce MMA cards were heavy on the theatrics before the UFC bought out that promotion.
While most experts are predicting a relatively light night of work for the now 40-year-old Mayweather, TMT representatives have noted Floyd is taking this fight as serious as ever and recognizes that McGregor, the first ever duel UFC title holder, is no push over. As the fight nears look for the betting line to move closer and public opinion to sway towards the underdog as people become more familiar with the trash talking Irishman. We here at STU will have an in depth analysis and fight prediction coming soon.
