1. Yankees
3B Ryan McMahon and RP Jake Bird from Rockies, Closer David Bednar from Pirates, RP Camilo Doval from Giants, SS/2B Ahmed Rosario from Nationals, SS/2B/OF Jose Caballero from Rays, OF Austin Slater from White Sox
The Yankees finally were able to get the Rockies to move off McMahon who always seemed bound for a change of scenery. McMahon brings good defense and a consistent bat with power, but everyone is curious to see what he can do outside of the hitter friendly Rockies stadium. Bird and Doval give the Yankees good bullpen depth. Bednar comes in to help the Closer situation as Devin Williams acquired from the Brewers has struggled. Rosario is a consistent bat with good defense and 2B and SS versatility. Caballero is a developing player who was able to play multiple positions to stay on the field he provides good defense and a consistent bat. Slater provides veteran depth in the outfield. The Yankees were also able to move off some players that just weren’t producing as well for prospects.
2. Padres
Closer Mason Miller and SP J.P. Sears from Athletics, 1B/OF Ryan O’Hearn and OF Ramon Laureano from Orioles, C Freddy Fermin from Royals, P Nestor Cortes from Brewers
While people didn’t like the Padres moving off their top prospect, Miller is one of the best young Closers in the game and on a cheap deal. Sears is an above average left-handed pitcher who can contribute to the rotation as a #3/4 starter. O’Hearn has been a solid bat with the Orioles with good power he offers 1B, OF, and DH versatility. Laureano has provided good power and a consistent bat. Fermin helps solve the problems at Catcher but he has struggled this year so the change of scenery could help him get back on track. Cortes was considered a good pickup for the Brewers but has mostly been injured this year he still has potential to rebound as he has in the past; he gives them another left-handed option in the starting rotation.

3. Astros
SS /3B Carlos Correa from Twins, 3B/2B Ramon Urias from Orioles, OF Jesus Sanchez from Marlins
Just two seasons ago Correa was a top-level free agent so to acquire him is a big move and he is familiar with the team after starting his career there. With the injuries in the infield, Correa gives them SS and 3B versatility and a consistent bat. Urias provides depth in the infield as a consistent bat with good defense. Sanchez gives them a much needed left-handed bat with both consistency and power that they haven’t had with OF Yordan Alvarez out with injury.
4. Mariners
3B Eugenio Suarez and 1B Josh Naylor from Diamondbacks, RP Caleb Ferguson from Pirates
Despite getting better production this season, the team still needed batting help. Naylor solves the 1B problem they have had for years as he provides both consistency and power. Suarez upgrades the 3B position bringing top power as a top 5 player for homeruns this season, although he had a high strikeout rate last stint with the team. Ferguson has been a consistently good relief pitcher.
5. Mets
Closer Ryan Helsley from Cardinals, RP Tyler Rogers from Giants, RP Gregory Soto and OF Cedric Mullins from Orioles
The Mets upgraded the bullpen bringing in 3 relief pitchers. Helsley has been a top level closer but with Edwin Diaz in place Helsley moves to setup man with the ability to close out games. Rogers has been a good relief pitcher while Soto gives them a left-handed option. Mullins is a top-level defensive player with some power in his bat.
