1. Florida State / QB Thomas Castellanos
The Seminoles had a tough matchup to start the season vs. Alabama but proved to be the better/more prepared team led by transfer dual-threat QB Castellanos, from Boston College. Castellanos proved to be a solid leader and playmaker and might be what this team needs after a rough season last year.
2. LSU / QB Garrett Nussmeier
LSU had a bad opening game losing streak under HC Brian Kelly, but the team was able to pull off the win on the road versus a Clemson team viewed as a Championship contender. Smart play by the veteran LB’s came into play along with strong play by Nussmeier after a slow start. Nussmeier is now being mentioned as the top QB in the draft.

3. Miami / QB Carson Beck
Miami was able to pull off a big win vs. Notre Dame taking a good lead behind a balanced offense led by Beck and improved defense. Beck seems to have made the right choice playing well in a big win, after seeing his draft stock drop in a down year at Georgia. He is trying to follow Cam Ward’s route to #1.
4. Auburn / QB Jackson Arnold
Auburn needed a big win for Coach Hugh Freeze and Arnold was able to deliver running all over a tough Baylor team on the road. Arnold is a transfer from Oklahoma viewed as a QB upgrade and he didn’t let down, although he did more running than passing.
5. QB LaNoris Sellers, South Carolina
Sellers was mentioned as a possible top 10 pick before the season, but with Arch Manning name possibly entering scouts moved him down. After a good start vs. Virginia Tech along with his size, arm, and mobility, Sellers is now viewed as a safe player as the #2 QB and a safe prospect who could go #1.
