Tigers B
The Tigers smartly upgraded their pitching staff signing future Hall of Fame closer P Kenley Jansen who showed he still has a lot left in the tank while re-signing closer/setup man Kyle Finnegan. The team signed P Framber Valdez who has been a good #2 pitcher getting him at a good price after sitting on the market too long and a familiar face in veteran/future Hall of Famer Justin Verlander. The team re-signed 2B Gleyber Torres who is coming off a solid season. Most of the losses have come in the relief pitching, but replacements have been made.
Twins D
The Twins coming off a down year needed some upgrades, but as a mid-market team didn’t spend much. The team brought in veteran power bats C/DH Victor Caratini and 1B/DH Josh Bell both who proved that they still have a lot of power left. The team signed and traded for relief pitching to upgrade the bullpen while taking minor league low-level risks with players like 3B Gio Urshela who has good versatility and SS Orlando Arcia coming off a down year. The only losses were 2B Edouard Julien who was traded after a down year and C Christian Vazquez who struggled this season and will be replaced by Caratini.

White Sox C+
The White Sox shocked everybody locking in Japanese power bat 1B/3B Munetaka Murakami who is known for his top-level power, but in his prime should also be a good on base hitter adding to a solid young infield. The team was able to finally move from OF Luis Robert Jr. whose value continued to decline in exchange for 2B/SS Luisangel Acuna from the Mets who should be able to develop here with more playing time; he is the younger brother of Ronald Acuna Jr. from the Braves. The team also added veteran OF Austin Hays coming off a good season and signed OF Jarred Kelenic to a minor deal. The pitching has been upgraded with pitchers Erick Fedde who was a #2 before the White Sox moved off him and relief pitchers Seranthony Dominguez, Jordan Hicks, and Sean Newcomb. The main loss was P Martin Perez who has been a solid #3 pitcher and OF Mike Tauchman who played well for the team but was injured late is a free agent.
Royals C-
The Royals goal was to upgrade the outfield and the relief pitching so they made trades to upgrade at both spots. Trading for OF Isaac Collins, a late bloomer from the Brewers with potential, trading for a late bloomer in OF Kameron Misner from the Rays who still has potential and taking a risk on OF Lane Thomas coming off a down year. The team loss outfielders Mike Yastrzemski and M.J. Melendez who both struggled to get on base but had power while also letting some relief pitching walk. The free agents left are OF Randal Grichuk another power bat who struggled and 2B/OF Adam Frazier who was brought back for a second stint last year, so he can’t be ruled out to return.
Guardians F
The Guardians only signed 2 relief pitches in Colin Holderman and Shawn Armstrong with Armstrong the better of the two and able to help in closing situation, however as a team that made a run last season and could use some batting upgrades it’s not an enough. The team loss some pitching options and OF Lane Thomas who didn’t show up for them last season.
