1. Jacksonville Jaguars
Trevor Lawrence, QB Clemson
Let’s be honest, Jags haven’t had a great QB since the Mark Brunell days, and this one might be the best QB prospect ever.
2. New York Jets
DaVonta Smith, WR Alabama
Many believe the Jets will go quarterback here but when everything settles the Jets will take this years Heisman trophy winner and provide Sam Darnold some much needed help outside the numbers.
3. Miami Dolphins
Penei Sewell, OT Oregon
Dolphins have a lot of options here but drafting a left tackle to protect their young quarterback is a must, especially given Tua’s injury history.
4. Atlanta Falcons
Zach Wilson, QB BYU
There’s is always a shocker in the top 5 and this year it will be Wilson being the second quarterback taken off the board. The buzz for this kid will continue to rise until draft night.
5. Cincinnati Bengals
Gregory Rousseau, DE Miami
Bengals would love for Sewell to fall here to bolster the offensive line, but they could definitely use a pass rusher especially after trading Carlos Dunlap mid season. Also, their best pass rusher Carl Lawson is a free agent.
6. Philadelphia Eagles
Ja’Marr Chase, WR LSU
The Eagles seem poised to go into the future with a new look offense behind Jalen Hurts. They missed on a wide receiver in last year’s but taking Chase here is a no brainer.
7. Detroit Lions
Jaelen Philips, DE Miami
Lions already have one solid pass rusher in Trey Flowers but Everson Griffen will be a free agent this off-season so drafting another D-lineman will be a must. Philips will bring speed to a poor Detroit Lions defensive line.
8. Carolina Panthers
Micah Parsons, LB Penn State
Panthers defense was the worst it has been in a long time last year but losing what some considered the best linebacker in the game to retirement doesn’t help. Shaq Thompson is solid but he could use some help and Parsons will be just what the doctor ordered.
9. Denver Broncos
Patrick Surtain Jr, CB Alabama
Broncos need help all over their defense and could use a edge rusher but Surtain grades out higher than any D-lineman in this spot. Don’t worry Broncos fans you get a corner with shutdown potential here.
10. Dallas Cowboys
Alijah Vera-Tucker, OT USC
There are a lot of offensive options here but with that horrible defense last year, let’s be real the Cowboys have to go defensive early in this year’s draft but they will go offensive tackle here because the top tier defensive players will already be off the board. Tucker is solid and help protect one of the top quarterback prospects in 2021.
11. New York Giants
Christian Barmore, DE Alabama
Giants need help on defense and it needs to start up front. The defensive line hasn’t been dominant for years.
12. San Francisco 49ers
Justin Fields, QB Ohio State
49ers were injury riddled last year and are really solid all around. They have the depth on their roster to make this pick. They make this pick after exhausting all trade possibilities for a quarterback. Fields is young and talented but could use a year or two behind a veteran quarterback like Garoppolo.
13. Los Angeles Chargers
Rashawn Slater, OT Northwestern
Chargers will continue to build around their young star quarterback in Herbert. They add an offensive lineman that can play anywhere on the line.
14. Minnesota Vikings
Kwity Paye, DT Michigan
Vikings have lost D-lineman the past few years in Everson Griffen and Yannick Ngakoue so they need to add some young talent up front. Paye only has one year as a starter but flashed a lot on tape and can play inside or outside.
15. New England Patriots
Trey Lance, QB North Dakota State
This would be the dream scenario for the Patriots because they desperately need a young quarterback with promise. Belichick won’t let the Patriots stay down for long but it all starts with the quarterback position.
16. Arizona Cardinals
Najee Harris, RB Alabama
Cardinals offense is great in the air but on the ground they could use some help. Drafting the best back in the draft after he has played 4 years at Alabama is a great options. Also Harris doesn’t have a lot of tread on the tires so he should be good for a long time.
17. Las Vegas Raiders
Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB Notre Dame
Raiders need playmakers on defense after missing in the past two years on defense and Koramoah brings edge to edge speed and flies around the field.
18. Miami Dolphins
Jaylen Waddle, WR Alabama
Dolphins draft early to protect their quarterback and this time they get him a playmaker. Waddle is a fast shifty wide receiver with explosiveness. When healthy this is a dangerous guy in the open field.
19. Washington Football Team
Kyle Pitts, TE Florida
Pitts is the ultimate playmaker and compares to Antonio Gates to me. A skilled big tight end with great hands that will only get better.
20. Chicago Bears
Christian Darrisaw, OT Virginia Tech
The Bears draft room is pulling their hair out because all the quarterbacks are gone but they get a nice offensive tackle that had a breakout year last season in the midst of the pandemic.
21. Indianapolis Colts
Jaycee Horn, CB South Carolina
This pick might end up being the Eagles pick with rumors swirling of a Carson Wentz trade but the Colts will go defensive if they make this pick. They are a pretty solid team but could use some help at corner.
22. Tennessee Titans
Zaven Collins, DE Tulsa
Titans must draft defensive lineman because their pass rush is non existent. Newly signed Jadeveon Clowney did not add to the pass rush so this area must be addressed in the draft early.
23. New York Jets
Carlos Basham, DE Wake Forest
Jets already got their offensive playmaker and now look for a defensive playmaker. Jets have drafted some young talent on the line and add to it with this big D-lineman that can play inside or outside.
24. Pittsburgh Steelers
Sam Cosmi, OT Texas
Steelers showed promise early last season but tailed off later in the season. Steelers must address their O-line to help protect their aging quarterback in Ben Roethlisberger. Cosmi has room for growth but has a lot of potential.
25. Jacksonville Jaguars
Alex Leatherwood, OT Alabama
Simple, Jags got their quarterback now they get him some protection.
26. Cleveland Browns
Andre Cisco, S Syracuse
Browns offense is set to go but the defense needs help all over except at one of the defensive end positions. Look for them to spend the draft upgrading the defense and it starts here.
27. Baltimore Ravens
Terrace Marshall, WR LSU
The Ravens desperately need a big playmaking wide receiver and they get one here in Marshall.
28. New Orleans Saints
Caleb Farley, CB Virginia Tech
Saints add another corner to help out with the nickel packages. Farley opted out of the season but is a big physical corner with upside.
29. Green Bay Packers
Rodarius Williams, CB Oklahoma State
Packers need to add another corner to play on the other side of Jaire Alexander and they may have one here if Williams plays up to his potential
30. Buffalo Bills
Wyatt Davis, G Ohio State
Josh Allen had a great year despite not having the best offensive line. Bills need to improve the offensive line to provide their quarterback more protection.
31. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Jevon Holland, S Oregon
The Buccaneers already have one great safety in Winfield and look to add another one alongside him in Holland.
32. Kansas City Chiefs
Tyson Campbell, CB Georgia
The Chiefs look to add depth to their secondary, which lacks depth.
